Charter Coordination & Guided Trips

Tell us what kind of diving you want, and we’ll help make it happen—start with a quick message or call.

Whether you’re visiting the area for a weekend or organizing a full-on dive trip for a group, the best dives don’t happen by accident—they happen with a plan. At Gulf Current Dive Center, we coordinate charters and guided trips so you can spend less time juggling logistics and more time doing what you came here to do: get in the water.

We’re contact-first on purpose. Conditions, diver experience, and boat availability all matter, and we’d rather set you up for a great day than funnel you into a one-size-fits-all option. Reach out with a few details (we’ll tell you exactly what we need below), and we’ll help match the right plan to your goals.

What we mean by “charter coordination”

We work with you to line up the pieces that turn “we want to dive” into a smooth, on-time day on the water. That can include helping you choose the best day(s) to go, confirming what kind of diving you’re aiming for, and connecting the dots so your group is ready—gear, timing, and expectations.

If you’re traveling, this is especially helpful. You may not know local rhythms, typical conditions, or what sites fit your certification level and comfort zone. We’ll talk it through and steer you toward a plan that feels exciting, realistic, and worth the trip.

Guided trips: more confidence, less guesswork

Sometimes you want more than a seat on a boat—you want a local pro in the mix.

Guided trips are a great fit if:

  • You’re new to the area and want local knowledge without the learning curve.
  • You’re traveling solo or as a pair and want a built-in buddy plan.
  • Your group has mixed experience levels and you want everyone supported.
  • You’d rather focus on your buoyancy, photos, or just enjoying the dive than navigating the day.

We’ll help you understand what a guided day looks like, what’s expected of each diver, and how to set your trip up for success from the start.

How to plan with us (our contact-first approach)

The fastest way to get you diving is to start a conversation. Once we know what you’re trying to do, we’ll walk you through the next steps and help you land on a plan that fits your timeline and your team.

When you contact us, we’ll typically cover:

  • Your preferred dates (and any flexibility)
  • Your certification level and approximate number of logged dives
  • Your group size and whether you’re traveling with a full group or joining as individuals
  • The type of diving you’re hoping for (easy and scenic, advanced/technical goals, photography-friendly, etc.)
  • Whether you want a guided option
  • Any gear needs (rentals, air/Nitrox questions, specialty equipment)

Don’t worry if you don’t have every detail nailed down. If you tell us your “ideal day,” we’ll help translate it into a workable plan.

What to include when you inquire (so we can move quickly)

If you want the smoothest coordination, send us this in your first message:

  • Dates you’re in town (and your best dive day options)
  • Number of divers in your party
  • Certification levels for each diver (and any specialties that matter)
  • Comfort level (newly certified, experienced, returning after time off, etc.)
  • Your priorities (big marine life, reefs, wrecks, training-friendly pace, etc.)
  • Any constraints (time limits, seasickness concerns, travel schedule, minors, etc.)

That’s it. With those basics, we can start narrowing down options and setting expectations.

For groups, clubs, and travel coordinators

Planning for a group has its own set of moving parts—and we genuinely enjoy helping you bring it together.

If you’re coordinating a club trip, family travel, or a mixed-experience group, we’ll help you think through:

  • How to keep the experience fun for advanced divers and newer divers
  • How to avoid last-minute surprises by setting clear requirements early
  • How to build a schedule that leaves breathing room for travel, meals, and surface intervals

The earlier you reach out, the easier it is to shape a trip that feels effortless once you arrive.

Set expectations early, enjoy the dive day later

Charters and guided trips depend on real-world variables—weather, sea state, and diver readiness all matter. Our job is to help you plan smart, communicate clearly, and show up prepared so the day runs smoothly.

If you’re unsure whether a certain goal is realistic for your experience level, ask. We’ll give you straight answers and help you choose an option that’s both safe and satisfying.

Ready to get started?

Send us your dates, certification level(s), and group size, and tell us what kind of dive day you’re dreaming about. We’ll take it from there and help coordinate a charter or guided trip that fits your crew and your goals.
