Monthly Fun Dives

Explain the recurring fun dives and how certified divers can join.

Choose your dive day: Fun Dives vs. Charters vs. Wreck Trips

Different divers want different things out of a day on the water. Some want a relaxed local dive with good people. Some want a specific wreck. Some want the most efficient plan possible while traveling.

Here’s how we typically help you decide:

Fun Dives (monthly community dives) Our fun dives are all about keeping you diving consistently—without the hassle of trying to build a group from scratch. Expect a social vibe, solid planning, and the kind of dive day that reminds you why you got certified in the first place.

Charters (we coordinate, you dive) When you want to get on a boat, target specific sites, or bring a group, charter days are the move. We help coordinate the details so the process is smooth—especially useful if you don’t dive here every week and don’t want to waste time figuring out logistics.

Wreck-Focused Planning (local wrecks + Oriskany intent) Wreck divers often have a goal in mind—penetration practice, photography, history, or simply checking iconic steel off the list. We’ll help you think through the dive from the “I want to do that wreck” stage to a workable plan: experience prerequisites, timing, conditions, and what else to dive while you’re here.

Not sure which bucket you fall into? Tell us what you’re excited about (wrecks, depth, spearfishing-friendly days, photography, skill building, etc.), and we’ll steer you toward the best option.

Monthly Fun Dives: show up, meet divers, stay active

If you’ve ever thought, “I’d dive more if I had people to go with,” this is your solution.

Our monthly fun dives are a simple way to:

  • Keep your skills fresh between big trips
  • Meet other certified divers who actually want to get in the water
  • Explore local sites without having to play logistics manager
  • Build comfort on boats and in open water through repetition

We keep the vibe friendly and welcoming. If you’re newer, we’ll help you understand what to expect and how to prep. If you’re experienced, you’ll appreciate having a reliable way to get wet and swap stories with divers who speak your language.

Charters & guided trips: we help you make the plan (and make it happen)

Charter diving should feel exciting—not complicated.

Whether you’re traveling in and want the most efficient way to dive the area, or you’re local and ready to level up your wreck time, we’ll help coordinate a day that makes sense for your goals. That includes the practical stuff divers care about:

  • What type of diving you’re aiming for (wrecks, reefs, depth range, photo-friendly sites)
  • Matching you with the right trip style and expectations
  • Helping you think through gear readiness and what to bring
  • Making sure you understand the day’s flow so there are no surprises

If you’re bringing a buddy team or a group, we can help you keep everyone aligned—because the fastest way to ruin a charter day is mismatched expectations.

Wreck diving: local favorites and the USS Oriskany pathway

Wreck divers don’t need a sales pitch—they need a plan.

If you’re here for wrecks, tell us what you’re chasing:

  • A first “real wreck” experience
  • More bottom time on structure
  • Advanced depth and gas management goals
  • Skill-building for future wreck travel
  • A specific objective like the USS Oriskany

We’ll help you map a path that fits your current certification level and recent experience. If you’re eyeing something iconic and deeper like the Oriskany, we can talk through what’s typically involved so you can approach it the right way: training readiness, comfort in open water, and the kind of preparation that makes the dive enjoyable instead of stressful.

Even if the Oriskany is your headline goal, we’ll also help you make the most of your time here with other wreck opportunities and smart trip pacing. The best wreck trips aren’t just about one splash—they’re about building momentum all weekend.

What to expect (and what to bring)

A great dive day starts before you ever step on a deck.

When you connect with us about a fun dive, charter, or wreck plan, we’ll help you cover the big questions quickly:

  • Your certification level and recent dives (so we can recommend appropriately)
  • Gear status (your own, rentals you might need, and “don’t forget” items)
  • Comfort level (boats, currents, depth, seasickness—no judgment, just planning)
  • Goals (relaxed sightseeing vs. skill-focused vs. wreck hunting)

If you’re visiting, we’ll also help you think through timing—because weather and ocean conditions are part of real diving, and the best trips are built with flexibility.

Ready to dive? Let’s get you on the right trip

If you’re certified and ready to get wet, we’ll help you choose the best next step—monthly fun dive, charter coordination, or wreck-focused planning.
